The third edition of the Bavarian GamesFestival is themed "What’s Real?" The central goal of the B2B / B2C festival event is to discover "Digital Gaming" from different perspectives. Artificial intelligence (AI) is a hotly debated topic in this context. German author and media producer Albert Bozesan will demonstrate live how game developers can benefit from current AI tools like ChatGPT. The AI session is an example of how the integration of trending topics and new technologies can increase awareness and generate interest for modern event formats, especially in the context of economic and social issues.
Albert Bozesan states: "What differentiates me as a human author from AI (artificial intelligence) is primarily intention. AI can only follow instructions right now. It won’t be able to help you if you don’t have a clear goal in mind. On the one hand, I use AI for my own projects, but I also teach others to formulate their ideas as precisely as possible so that the AI can actually help them. That’s just as important with an artist as it is for a company."
In terms of gaming, Bozesan adds, "I want to show that today it’s very easy to develop the story and visuals of a digital game – and this without being extraordinary creative. You just have to have an idea and a message – then the AI tool supports this work at a breathtaking pace. I will show this process in my workshop as part of the upcoming Bavarian GamesFestival."
In addition to the AI session by Bozesan, the GamesFestival’s provides a total of 40 inspiring sessions that will also cover educational, social and cultural topics. The festival event is inclusive and participatory – it aims to provide young people in particular with real-life answers to their questions about the future of our digital society.
