The Eurovision Song Contest, whose grand final airs today (May 13, 2023), is the largest live music event in the world and the longest-running, annually televised international music competition. Verizon executives are pleased to participate in this year’s event with BlueJeans, a professional virtual events technology, to help organizers broadcast the competition to press, media and fans around the world.
At the ESC 2023 in Liverpool, UK, BlueJeans by Verizon will act as an online media hub connecting up to 2,000 local and international journalists in nearly 50 countries for Europe’s biggest entertainment event. BlueJeans by Verizon will enable live streaming of interactive interviews with all 37 artists participating in this year’s competition on an official social media platform for the event. These interviews can be watched worldwide by the media and the public at large. Through the comprehensive BlueJeans Expo experience, journalists from around the world will have access to live performances, rehearsals and press conferences, offering an entirely new concept and thus increasing the global reach of the event.
