This week, just in time for the start of the summer vacations in Germany, North Rhine-Westphalia, the spectacular exhibition "Mars findet Stadt" (Engl.: Mars happens in the city) opened in the city of Bochum. The Christ Church in the center of Bochum, provides a perfect space for the seven-meter model of the red planet, which is illuminated from the inside. The art installation is an outstanding photo motif for visitors.
The oversized Mars model rotates high up in the nave of the Christuskirche Bochum. A video on the action (Mars by Luke Jerram, 2021) as well as an interview with the British artist Luke Jerram can be found on the website "Mars findet Stadt". Those who want to discover the artwork live can see the Mars exhibition daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. until July 13. Admission is free of charge.
