The countdown to Expo 2020 Dubai is on. In a few days, the international world exhibition, which was postponed by a year due to the Corona pandemic, opens its doors. With optimism and in beautiful pictures, an announcement video by Emirates Airline makes the visit a multi-sensory experience even before the mega-event.

Visitors can expect a feast of music, art and culture at Expo 2020 in Dubai from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022 – in addition to the numerous theme and country pavilions on future topics such as mobility, sustainability and new opportunities. The rich variety of experiences onsite is presented by Australian actor Chris Hemsworth in an entertaining video clip. The spot is the result of a cooperation between Emirates and Dubai UAE.

Her Excellency, Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai, says of the joint project: "We have partnered with Emirates to create an exciting and spectacular campaign that we believe will resonate with audiences around the world and inspire them to experience Expo 2020 Dubai for themselves. Expo 2020 will be one of the biggest events in the world, and a must-see experience."

Chris Hemsworth invites everyone who can travel not to miss this event: "We all have the opportunity to create a better future. The past year has shown us that if we put our minds together, the possibilities are endless. At Expo 2020 in Dubai, the world will come together in the spirit of collaboration to find solutions that will benefit future generations. If you are able to travel and feel safe, I sincerely hope you have the opportunity to experience the Expo."

The video was created in Dubai ahead of the Expo’s originally scheduled opening in October 2020. It aims to convey the inspiring spirit of innovation, creativity and striving for a better future – the key themes of the World Expo 2020 in Dubai. The campaign music "Pure Imagination" was reinterpreted by a 70-piece orchestra and accompanied by a children’s choir. Children play an important role in the spot. They come from different cultures and are the leaders of tomorrow.
