Great events always have well-known sponsors and partners. So does the 21st German Wine Ball ("Ball des Weines"), which takes place this evening in the city of Wiesbaden. One premium partner of the gala event is the Emirates airline. The event guests can look forward to an exclusive lounge atmosphere and an enjoyable wine tasting.
Emirates, actually the world’s largest international airline, is supporting the prestigious "Ball des Weines 2023" (German Wine Ball 2023) in the city of Wiesbaden for the 10th time as a premium partner. The Gala Event, organized by the Association of German Quality Wine Estates, takes place today, May 6, 2023, with around 1,500 invited guests from politics, business and the German gastronomy scene. The historical Kurhaus Wiesbaden was chosen as the venue.
In its own wine lounge, Emirates will present an exclusive selection of its "Vintage Collection" to the guests – all the prestigious wines are also offered on the Emirates flights from/to Germany and in the approximately 40 Emirates lounges worldwide.
In this context, it is interesting to note that the airline has its own wine cellar in Burgundy, France, where several million bottles of wine have already been stored for up to 15 years before they are ready to be enjoyed on board. Emirates' in-flight entertainment program "ice" features informative documentaries on the airline’s wine selection. Passengers can also access the current wine list in advance of their flight.
With this background story, Emirates has more than adequately qualified itself as a premium partner for the German Wine Ball. Among the wines from Germany currently being served on the Emirates flights are these two: 1) Robert Weil Riesling Kiedricher 2021 from the German Rheingau region;. 2) August Kesseler Spätburgunder Cuvee Max 2018, also from the Rheingau.
