In the course of environmental protection, the traditional art of fireworks is currently more and more often subject to discussion. The popular brand Gillette showed how to nevertheless conjure up a beautiful light show at the Gamescom 2022 in Cologne / Germany.
In collaboration with an experienced aviation company, the GilletteLabs lit up the Cologne skies in neon green colors to kick off its Gamescom sponsoring activities. On August 24, at around 9:30 pm, around 200 drones took off from a popular outdoor venue in the heart of Cologne. As if by magic, images of beards and Gillette razors appeared in the sky and inspired enthusiastic audiences all over the city.
On invitation of GilletteLabs and together with well-known content creators like Julien Brown "itsjulienbrown" and Luis Freitag "luis_freitag_" from the "Elevator Boys", Luca Heubl "lucahbl" and Felix Arnold "felixxarnold" as well as rap star MoTrip, VIP guests could watch the spectacle from the water during a Get-together Event on a party boat on the river Rhine.
Gillette has been successfully involved in the esports and gaming scene for several years. Thanks to partnerships with well-known gamers such as Nico "Sola" Linke or the Berlin Twitch star Kevin "Papaplatte" Teller, the brand has established itself in the gaming community. According to the brand managers, Gillette has become a real "Gaming Love Brand". Consequently, the brand was also represented as a sponsor at Gamescom 2022.
In addition to its Gamescom sponsorship, Gillette recently launched its own gaming channel @GilletteGaming on TikTok, Fortnite fans can compete in the specially created Gillette Bed Battles.
