Art and cultural events are always particularly exciting when the occasion is unique, the program or staging unusual, and the tickets strictly limited. The Phoenix des Lumières in the city of Dortmund, Germany, is relying on this success formula with a Valentine’s Day special that creatively combines immersive art experiences and romance.
Exactly 100 tickets are available for art lovers and/or romantics who want to experience a very special time-out with their sweetheart on February 14. The Phoenix des Lumières, center for immersive art in Dortmund, invites them to a romantic "art-filled" evening with the famous artists Klimt and Hundertwasser. Renaud Derbin, director of Phoenix des Lumières, explains the event idea: "Valentine’s Day is a great opportunity to give your loved one shared time and shared experiences. As a couple, take some time out and immerse yourself in the digital imagery of Klimt and Hundertwasser. Romance and art are a wonderful match."
The special romantic art experience on Valentine’s Day begins right at the entrance: on arrival at the Phoenix des Lumières, visitors are greeted by a sea of hearts, balloons and flowers before entering the romantically decorated and candlelit interior of the exhibition hall. There, everyone is offered a sparkling welcome drink and then, starting at 6:30 p.m., visitors can enjoy the one-hour guided tour of the exhibition. A rose as a Valentine’s gift for each visitor (m/f/x) completes the romantic evening. The Valentins special is bookable for 22 EUR per person.
