In an exhilarating fusion of motorsport and creativity, the LEGO Group partnered with Formula 1® to deliver unforgettable experiences for fans and families during the 2025 FORMULA 1® HEINEKEN LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX. This year’s event saw the debut of several groundbreaking LEGO® activations, culminating in a stunning, life-sized brick-built car that stole the spotlight: a drivable, pink 1950s Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special, constructed from over 418,000 LEGO bricks.
As part of the partnership between the LEGO Group and Formula 1®, the iconic vehicle – designed to both wow and engage– took center stage at the Grand Prix. After a thrilling 50-lap race under the dazzling Las Vegas lights, the top three drivers-Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, and George Russell-were chauffeured to the podium in style, riding in the unique LEGO Cadillac. To the surprise of fans, actor and avid LEGO enthusiast Terry Crews took the wheel, delivering an extra dose of excitement as he drove the car to the podium celebration.
This remarkable vehicle, weighing in at over 2,100 kilograms and measuring more than five meters long, was a marvel of design and engineering. With functioning lights, sound, and vintage-style tires, it was a true testament to the imaginative spirit of both LEGO and Formula 1®. Constructed by a dedicated team of 17 LEGO master builders, engineers, and designers, the build took nearly 4,000 hours to complete, showcasing the depth of collaboration between the two iconic brands.
The LEGO 1950s Cadillac was prominently displayed in the F1 paddock, giving fans a chance to marvel at the craftsmanship before it made its iconic debut on the Las Vegas Strip.
In addition to the Cadillac, a variety of other LEGO-inspired moments lit up the weekend. Fans could spot incredible LEGO content on Sphere, Las Vegas’s renowned entertainment venue, which featured LEGO representations of all 10 Formula 1 teams. The digital display highlighted the new partnership between LEGO and F1 ACADEMY, an initiative designed to increase visibility and opportunities for women in motorsport.
Adding to the excitement, LEGO Botanicals bouquets were awarded to the top three drivers in the F1 ACADEMY races, further celebrating the connection between the LEGO Group and the motorsport community. These intricate floral arrangements, built from over 2,000 LEGO elements each, served as a nod to both the world of F1 and the artistry of LEGO building.
Fans visiting the F1 HUB at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas had the chance to take home exclusive LEGO F1 ACADEMY merchandise, including a limited-edition LEGO Speed Champions F1 ACADEMY™ set. With just 201 pieces, this kit lets fans build their very own replica of an F1 Academy car, making it a must-have for collectors.
This exciting partnership between the LEGO Group and Formula 1 is set to continue well beyond 2025. Announced earlier this year, the partnership with F1 ACADEMY will see the launch of a LEGO Racing Team in 2026, featuring a unique custom car livery and driven by Esmee Kosterman. The collaboration aims to inspire the next generation of motorsport fans, creating a more inclusive and accessible future for the sport.
